Continued "Big News". Celebration/Party/Adios/Blow Out tickets will be on the website for sale by Saturday ... if not before. Ron jumped the gun before he actually had the link built. The house/warehouse is really close to finished and i am excited about it. But this afternoon, I am headed for Caddo Lake in far east Texas ... by the town of Uncertain, Texas. Lots of you are taking me up on the opportunity to seriously negotiate for those things you really want. Keep it coming; we are both winning on these. New Blog Post or two later today or tomorrow (after fishing), for sure.
Yes, folks ... BIG NEWS. The Texas Historical Commission has bought the store in Goodnight. We will be there through the end of July, 2024 ... and then on line or by phone. No; we are not "quitting" - HERD WEAR will continue. Be sure you are on our email list and also on Buffalo Wool Co's list.

1999 p - Yellowstone National Park Silver Dollar Coin

by US Mint
$165.00
set size

Issued by the US Mint in 1999, this was the last dollar coin minted in the 20th Century.  The coin was available for purchase from the Mint from July 16, 1999, through July 15, 2000.  500,000 were authorized but apparently only 82,563 were produced.

These are US currency; not just ounce silver rounds, but real US Dollar coins

Design Theme on Obverse

The obverse shows a spouting geyser with the park's tree-lined landscape in the background.

Design Theme on Reverse

The reverse, adapted from the U.S. Department of Interior's seal, shows an American Buffalo on the plains with a sun rising above the mountains in the background.

These are all US Mint proof (unopened cases) and uncirculated coins.  Content is 91% silver and 10% copper.  Weigh is 26.73 grams.

Auction record for this coin was set in 2003 at $713.*  Values fluctuate but currently between $80 and $550.
